WHY WE DO IT
Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved. Mar’s Mobile Munchies was created to support people in our community who are too often forgotten or overlooked. Helping others has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I helped prepare meals for people experiencing homelessness with my church and volunteered with my family at soup kitchens and food pantries. Those experiences helped foster a lifelong passion for giving back. This business allows me to continue that mission on a larger scale. For every 25 meals sold, we provide a meal—along with other helpful essentials—to someone experiencing homelessness. Rather than handing out cash directly, we focus on providing meals and essential items so we can offer immediate, practical support and maintain transparency about how the community’s contributions are used. We also donate 50% of our monthly tips to a local charity selected by our social media community, allowing those funds to be distributed by an organization equipped to provide responsible, long-term assistance. Every purchase helps us serve more than great food—it helps us spread love throughout our community..
Meal Donations — handed out on the street
For every 25 spuds sold, one meal gets made and handed directly to someone on the street.
Anyone can add a meal to the pot when they order, and it goes straight to someone who needs it.
Charity Donations — rotating local cause
Half of all tips are donated to that month's cause — separate from the meal stuff. See the log for who's been picked so far.
